Recognizes his military service in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant E-6, and his education at Morehouse College and South Carolina State University School of Law

Acknowledges his community leadership as a founding member of Blacks United for Action, member of 100 Black Men, and over 50 years of service at First Calvary Baptist Church including 30+ years as deacon

Notes he received the Order of the Silver Crescent, South Carolina's most prestigious service award, and directs a copy of the resolution be presented to his family
