Expresses the South Carolina Senate's profound sorrow upon the death of David Leo Jenkins on March 25, 2025

Honors Jenkins' 44-year career in education, beginning as an elementary school teacher in Rock Hill in 1958 and retiring as assistant principal with Lancaster High School System in 1991, followed by teaching history at Clinton Junior College

Recognizes his military service in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958 and his educational achievements, including a Bachelor of Science from South Carolina State College (1955) and Master of Arts from North Carolina Central University (1966)

Acknowledges his extensive civic involvement, including life membership in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Prince Hall F&A Masonic Lodge #162, Lancaster County Joint Planning Commission, and volunteer work with AARP Tax Preparation Program

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to his surviving family, including his daughters The Honorable Audrey J. Jenkins and Eleanor R. Jenkins-Alford, M.D., and four granddaughters
