Violations constitute a misdemeanor punishable by up to $1,000 fine and/or 30 days imprisonment per offense, with victims able to pursue claims under the SC Unfair Trade Practices Act and the Attorney General authorized to seek injunctions and civil penalties deposited into the Veterans' Trust Fund.
