Former solicitors are prohibited from representing clients for a fee in the judicial district from which they were elected for two years after leaving office

Former solicitors are also barred from appearing in court in their former district during the same two-year cooling-off period

The restriction applies specifically to the district where the solicitor was elected, not statewide

The law takes effect immediately upon the Governor's approval
