Requests the South Carolina Department of Transportation name the intersection at SC Highway 34 and McGee Town Road in Lee County as "Lewis W. Boone Memorial Intersection"

Honors Lewis W. Boone (March 9, 1897 - October 28, 1956), a Lee County native and U.S. Army Private First Class who served in Company M, 118th Infantry, 30th Division during World War I from June 26, 1915 to April 10, 1919

Recognizes Boone's heroic actions on October 11, 1918, in Vaux-Andigny, France, where he carried an important message through artillery and machine gun fire and was wounded returning to his unit

Boone received the Distinguished Service Cross and Purple Heart for extraordinary bravery and devotion to duty

Directs that appropriate markers or signs be erected at the intersection and a copy of the resolution be sent to the Department of Transportation and Boone's family
