Requires consent to be obtained through a standalone, conspicuous document that deals only with selling or sharing genetic information and includes opt-out options for different levels of sharing

Establishes that companies have no legal rights to an individual's genetic information; only the individual may own their genetic information

Creates a private right of action allowing individuals to sue for violations, with remedies including injunctive relief and damages of $500 per violation or actual monetary loss, whichever is greater

Takes effect upon Governor's approval
