Allows individuals to apply for expungement of civil eviction records through the magistrate court in their county of residence

Expungement must be granted if the person has had no additional evictions in South Carolina for at least five years since their last eviction

Requires the magistrate court to conduct a search through the public index or other reasonable method to verify no evictions occurred within the previous five years

Fees for civil expungement will be set by the South Carolina Office of Court Administration

Adds new Section 27-37-170 to the S.C. Code of Laws, effective upon the Governor's approval
