South Carolina Senate resolution recognizing and congratulating The Links, Incorporated, Orangeburg Chapter on its 60th anniversary of volunteer service, celebrated December 13, 2025

The Links, Incorporated was founded in 1946 and now includes more than 17,000 professional women across 300 chapters dedicated to strengthening African American communities through friendship and service

The Orangeburg Chapter was chartered on December 4, 1964, with 15 charter members during the Civil Rights Movement and has provided award-winning service in youth initiatives, health programs, and cultural enrichment

Chapter programs include Project L.E.A.D., The D.R.E.A.M. Circle mentoring and STEM program, breast cancer awareness through "Links in Pink," and over 30 years of sponsoring theater attendance at South Carolina State University

Global outreach efforts include Soles for Souls for Haiti Relief and Maama Kits for Africa, providing essential supplies for safe childbirth to reduce maternal and infant mortality in underserved areas
