South Carolina Senate resolution honors Logan Wells, founder of Fresh Friends, a nonprofit promoting volunteerism, inclusivity, and friendship among high school students

Fresh Friends originated as a school club at Heathwood Hall and has since become a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization open to all high schoolers in South Carolina

The organization partners with local and statewide groups including the Downtown Church of Columbia, the Salvation Army, and Midlands school districts to connect teen volunteers with community service opportunities

Plans are underway to expand Fresh Friends chapters to additional high schools across the state to increase student participation in community service
