Led Lexington Health's 2021 transition from a governmental entity to a private, not-for-profit healthcare system and championed the 2023 partnership with the University of South Carolina to relocate the USC School of Nursing to West Columbia

Under his leadership, Lexington Health achieved Magnet Hospital With Distinction status, ranked #2 hospital in South Carolina by U.S. News & World Report, and was named #1 family-friendly healthcare organization in America by Modern Healthcare

The South Carolina Senate formally celebrates and congratulates Augsburger's retirement, expresses appreciation for his distinguished service, and directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to him
