First appointed as a Charleston County magistrate judge in 2015 by Senator Marlon Kimpson, serving over ten years on the bench for North Area 2 while also operating his own law practice specializing in estate planning and probate

Served as the first Black chair of the Board of Governors at the Harbour Club and was active in numerous professional and civic organizations including 100 Black Men of Charleston and the Federal Bar Association

Survived by his wife Loquita Bryant-Jenkins, daughters Na'Zyia and Nyla, parents, siblings, and extended family
