Founded and supported literacy initiatives including "Each One Teach One," worked with Clemson Extension programs, volunteered with 4-H Clubs, served as a VISTA volunteer, supported Head Start, and helped families secure land, financing, and affordable housing

Served as the oldest active mother of Bethlehem Church of God Holiness, teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, hosting Bible study, and mentoring generations in the community

Resolution directs that a copy be presented to the family of Naomi Dye Cannady
