Active civic leader who served over thirty years with the Palmetto Barber's Association, was a member of Sunlight Lodge #221, and served on the Williamsburg County Board of Alcohol and Drug Abuse

Dedicated member of Greater Bethel A.M.E. Church where he served on the Trustee Board, Steward Board, Finance Committee, Usher Board, Male Choir, and as president of the Men's Club
