Extends the 5-day deadline for funeral directors to electronically file death certificates with the Bureau of Vital Statistics when the deadline falls on a weekend or federal/state holiday, allowing filing by the end of the next business day instead

Amends Section 44-63-74 of the South Carolina Code to align the death certificate filing deadline extension with the existing 48-hour exception already provided to physicians for certifying cause of death

Maintains all other existing requirements including electronic filing mandates, signature requirements, and administrative penalties ($250 for first violation, $500 for second, $1,000 for third or subsequent)

Takes effect upon approval by the Governor
