SCORE mentors possess expertise in areas including accounting, finance, human resources, law, marketing, management, business plan preparation, and strategic planning, and must complete rigorous training before advising entrepreneurs

South Carolina has six SCORE branch offices covering the Grand Strand/Pee Dee, Greater Aiken, Piedmont, Midlands, Lowcountry, and Charleston areas

The Florence/Pee Dee area was incorporated into the Grand Strand SCORE branch in 2021 to help businesses recover from the COVID-19 pandemic
