Establishes a taskforce to study the technological development and impact of artificial intelligence systems on South Dakota

Taskforce consists of 18 members including 4 legislators, representatives from healthcare, banking, retail, manufacturing, and technology industries, education professionals, county auditors from large and small counties, municipal officials, and law enforcement

Additional members appointed by the Governor, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and Board of Regents

Findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation due to the Executive Board of the Legislative Research Council by December 1, 2028, after which the taskforce dissolves

Effective date: January 1, 2027
