Expands existing South Dakota law to allow students with diabetes to possess and self-administer insulin and other diabetes medications at school, on school property, and at school-related events and activities

Adds diabetes to the list of qualifying conditions (alongside asthma and anaphylaxis) that permit student self-administration of prescription medications in schools

Authorizes students to possess and use related diabetes management equipment and supplies (such as glucose monitors and insulin delivery devices) at school

Requires written parental authorization, a liability release signed by the parent, and a signed statement from a licensed healthcare provider confirming the diagnosis and the student's capability to self-manage their medication

Applies to both public and nonpublic schools in South Dakota
