Adds "instrument-assisted modalities" as a new defined term for tools that produce biophysiological responses targeting specific tissue, fascia, or muscle

Expands occupational therapists' scope of practice to include physical and mechanical agents as well as instrument-assisted modalities, beyond the previous limitation to upper extremities only

Requires occupational therapists using physical/mechanical agents to complete 25 hours of approved education plus supervised mentorship with five case studies per modality class, or hold hand therapist certification, or have completed relevant entry-level program training

Requires completion of post-professional continuing education with demonstrated competency before using instrument-assisted modalities

Updates educational program accreditation requirement to specify the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education and makes various technical/language modernizations throughout the chapter
