Urges the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to establish a tribal law enforcement training academy in South Dakota to serve the state's nine tribal nations and potentially tribal officers nationwide

Encourages DHS to collaborate with tribal leaders, state law enforcement agencies, and stakeholders to ensure training programs address unique needs and cultural context of tribal communities

Notes South Dakota has already begun offering law enforcement training programs in partnership with the Bureau of Indian Affairs that prioritize officers serving the nine tribal nations

Directs copies of the resolution to be sent to the DHS Secretary, South Dakota's Congressional delegation, and leaders of each of the nine federally recognized tribes in the state
