Expands the definition of "community safety zone" to include licensed day care centers, licensed group family day care homes, and registered family day care facilities

Community safety zones create a 500-foot restricted area around protected sites where registered sex offenders cannot establish residence

Protected sites now include: domestic abuse shelters, child care facilities, public parks/playgrounds/pools, schools, and sexual assault shelters

Registered sex offenders who violate residency restrictions face a Class 6 felony for first offense and Class 5 felony for subsequent violations

Exemptions exist for offenders who established residence before July 1, 2024, or before a protected site was built at that location
