Registration fees are $50 for South Dakota residents and $250 for nonresidents, with all fees nonrefundable and deposited into the Game, Fish and Parks fund for fish restocking efforts

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, and registration is valid through March 31 of each year

Registered guides must electronically submit daily trip reports including date, client information, water body fished, and species/number of fish taken

The Game, Fish and Parks Commission may deny applications containing material misrepresentations or suspend registrations for failure to submit required reports or falsifying report information
