Commission terms begin upon appointment in odd-numbered years and expire December 31st of the following even-numbered year

Executive Board of the Legislative Research Council assigned to provide administrative services to the commission and administer the South Dakota-Ireland trade fund

Trade fund established in state treasury to defray commission administrative expenses, funded by moneys raised by the commission plus gifts, grants, and donations, with interest remaining in the fund

Fund is continuously appropriated to the commission, and the commission must meet at least once annually with a legislator serving as chair
