Legislative Description

As enacted, authorizes the board for licensing health care facilities to delegate to the department of health the authority to issue a new license to a successor owner of a health care facility when there has been a change of control if certain requirements met; increases the amount of major medical equipment, the acquisition of which requires a certificate of need from $1.5 million to $2 million.
