Legislative Description

As enacted, requires certain health care professionals to conduct registry check before employing or contracting with any person who would be providing direct patient care; revises provisions governing background checks for certain employees who provide care or contact to recipients of mental health services. - Amends TCA Title 33; Title 34; Title 63; Title 68 and Title 71.
