Legislative Description

As enacted, requires organizations that supply mental health and developmental disability services to check the registry that contains the names of any persons who have been determined to have abused, neglected, misappropriated or exploited the property of vulnerable individuals and not hire or use as a volunteer any individual listed on the registry; requirements apply to organizations that contract with the division of intellectual disabilities services for residential services, day services or supported employment services.
