Legislative Description

As enacted, requires the local government insurance committee and the local education insurance committee to provide for the financing of the health insurance plan for employees of local governments and quasi-governmental organizations and the group insurance plan for eligible employees of local education agencies, respectively, and determine premiums, co-payments, benefit levels, and the disposition of government grants and subsidies to assist in the funding and provision of health insurance for enrolled individuals. - Amends TCA Title 8, Chapter 27.
