Legislative Description

As enacted, specifies that when a court orders a defendant charged with a misdemeanor to be evaluated for insanity or mental illness, the court must also order that any inpatient evaluation be completed within 30 days of admission to the facility. - Amends TCA Title 33, Chapter 7, Part 3.
