Legislative Description

As introduced, prohibits a lessor from charging more than two and a half times the cash price of any merchandise subject to a rental-purchase agreement; requires lessor to keep records of lessor's cost for the merchandise; provides that violation results in the agreement being voided and retention of the merchandise by the consumer. - Amends TCA Title 47, Chapter 18.
