Legislative Description

As enacted, requires that officers who knowingly provide POST with false or misleading information concerning histories be decertified, removed from office, and be deemed ineligible to apply for a new law enforcement position in Tennessee; requires denial of application for POST certification of an applicant who knowingly provides POST with false or misleading information. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 8; Title 38; Title 39 and Title 40.
