Legislative Description

As enacted, authorizes certain courts to order any of the following, in lieu of committing a child to DCS custody, if the child is found to be a delinquent child: assign a long-term mentor to such child; or require that the delinquent child or any of the child's family members receive counseling services from any counseling service provided through or approved by the juvenile court. - Amends TCA Title 37.
