Legislative Description

As enacted, in cases not involving the department of children's services or a child-placing agency, prohibits a court from returning a child to the custody of a parent when the child was removed due to the parent's drug abuse unless the parent demonstrates a sustained commitment to responsible parenting. - Amends TCA Title 36, Chapter 6, Part 1.
