Legislative Description

As enacted, grants a voluntary association that establishes and enforces bylaws or rules for interscholastic sports competition for secondary schools in this state access to records or information from public, charter, nonpublic, other schools, school officials and parents or guardians of school children as is required to fulfill its duties and functions; requires the association to maintain the confidentiality of records or information in its possession that relate to academic performance, financial status of a student or the student's parent or guardian, medical or psychological treatment or testing, and personal family information. - Amends TCA Title 10, Chapter 7, Part 5.
