Legislative Description

As enacted, encourages public school teachers to be Promise scholarship mentors by crediting them with one day of in-service for volunteering as mentors; encourages retired teachers to be Promise scholarship mentors by granting them one year of eligibility for the state employee discount program for volunteering as mentors. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 11 and Title 49.
