Legislative Description

Subject to local approval, reduces board of mayor and aldermen from seven to five members; deletes all references to town marshal; reduces the number of readings to approve an ordinance from three to two; abolishes the position of treasurer and transfers responsibilities to the recorder; expands authority of the board of mayor and aldermen. - Amends Chapter 112 of the Private Acts of 1920; as amended.
