Legislative Description

As introduced, requires each LEA to conduct, within one month of commencing the 2019-2020 school year, a survey of the LEA's students to ascertain the proportion of students with internet access at home and to report the results of the survey to the department of education no later than November 1, 2019; requires the department of education to report the survey results to the governor and to education committees of the senate and house of representatives no later than December 15, 2019. - Amends TCA Title 49.
