Legislative Description

Subject to local approval, transfers the duty to collect taxes from the recorder to the finance director; eliminates certain other duties of the recorder; requires the city council to fix the compensation and duties of all officers and employees of the city, consistent with the charter and general law. - Amends Chapter 568 of the Private Acts of 1939; as amended.
