Legislative Description

As introduced, enacts the "Good Samaritan Sentencing Enhancement Act of 2020," which provides that a defendant who commits an offense against a person while that person is rendering assistance and care to the victim of a crime is punished from within one sentencing range higher than is otherwise provided by law for the offense. - Amends TCA Title 39 and Title 40.
