Legislative Description

As introduced, increases the penalty for statutory rape to a Class C felony when the victim is 13 or 14 years of age and the defendant is at least four years older; requires a defendant convicted under such circumstances to register as a sexual offender; prohibits a court from granting judicial diversion to a defendant under such circumstances. - Amends TCA Title 39 and Title 40.
