Local boards of education and public charter school governing bodies may authorize display of the Ten Commandments, Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution, Tennessee Constitution, Bill of Rights, and other historically significant documents in school buildings

Displays must be placed in "prominent locations" defined as school entryways, cafeterias, or common areas where students are likely to see them

Schools are encouraged to use wall posters or printed versions provided free of charge to LEAs and public charter schools

Local boards and charter school governing bodies retain authority to determine the size and placement of approved displays

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
