District Attorneys General Conference must provide legal counsel and advice to district attorneys general and their staff related to performing their duties, which may be delivered by conference-employed attorneys

Legal counsel and advice provided to district attorneys is confidential and privileged, including all related documents and communications, and is exempt from public records inspection requirements

Conference meetings remain subject to open meetings laws, but the executive committee and finance and audit committee may hold closed executive sessions to discuss litigation, audits, investigations, federally protected information, and pro tem prosecutor matters

Expands authority for appointing district attorneys general pro tem from "specific criminal proceedings" to include both criminal and civil proceedings, such as officer removal actions, quo warranto actions, nuisance abatement, forfeitures, post-conviction proceedings, and cemetery regulation matters

Effective upon becoming law; passed April 15, 2025 and signed by Governor Bill Lee on May 2, 2025
