Cities operating under a general law city manager-commission charter may now contract with private entities for the development, construction, management, or operation of indoor or outdoor sports facilities

Contract terms may include division of operating revenues or losses, lease or sale of facilities, payment of management fees, and other terms the city determines beneficial

Only cities with a AAA bond rating from an SEC-recognized statistical rating organization as of the act's effective date are eligible to use this contracting authority

Amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 6-19-101(a) by adding new subdivision (33)

Passed April 7, 2025 and approved by Governor Bill Lee on April 24, 2025, effective immediately
