Establishes a recall process for local officials including mayors, sheriffs, trustees, registers, clerks, property assessors, legislative body members, and school board members

Requires recall petitions to be signed by registered voters equal to at least 66% of the total votes cast for that official in the last regular election

County election commissions must verify petition signatures within 15 days and publish notice of sufficient petitions in a newspaper of general circulation

Removal occurs if 66% or more of voters in a recall election vote "for recall," with the vacancy filled under applicable law

Applies only to jurisdictions where the county, municipal, or metropolitan legislative body adopts the recall provisions by a two-thirds vote; excludes innovative school districts
