Standard violations are classified as Class C misdemeanors

If a vehicle stopped in violation of the employment solicitation provision causes or contributes to a motor vehicle accident, the offense is elevated to a Class B misdemeanor

First-time violations of subsection (c) require only a warning citation rather than criminal penalties
