Requires the commission, in consultation with the Department of Education, to develop a plan for reviewing and approving electronic textbooks and instructional materials for use by LEA-established virtual schools

Plan must be submitted to the State Board of Education for approval of materials

If legislation is required to implement the plan, the commission must submit the plan and legislative recommendations to the General Assembly by January 1, 2027

If no legislation is required, the commission must implement the plan by January 1, 2027

Passed April 21, 2025 and signed by Governor Bill Lee on May 9, 2025; takes effect immediately upon becoming law
