Medical and research facilities must remove and replace genetic sequencers and related software produced by foreign adversaries (as defined in federal regulations) within 180 days

Genetic sequencing data cannot be stored in foreign adversary countries, and facilities must use encryption and cybersecurity best practices to protect such data

Violations carry fines of $10,000 per instance for prohibited equipment use or improper data storage, and $100,000 for insurers covering prohibited transplants

Individuals whose genetic information was misused may recover statutory damages of at least $5,000 per unique use of their genomic information
