Audible alarms must meet state fire marshal decibel requirements, and strobe alarms must be installed in classrooms and assembly areas for hearing-impaired individuals

Emergency exits must be clearly marked and unobstructed, and fire extinguishers must be placed on each floor and in high-risk areas like kitchens

Compliant places of worship used for educational purposes are exempt from automatic fire sprinkler system requirements; effective July 1, 2025
