Antique emergency vehicles (ambulances, fire trucks, law enforcement vehicles meeting antique motor vehicle criteria) may be used for transportation to and participation in community or educational events, including displays at fairs, festivals, and schools

Owners may install and operate era-appropriate emergency lights (red, white, or blue flashing lights) and audible warning devices (bells, sirens, exhaust whistles) with written authorization from the local law enforcement or fire department chief

Lights and sirens may only be operated while stationary at community/educational events, during organized parades or ceremonial events, or on private property with owner permission

Operating an antique emergency vehicle in compliance with these provisions does not constitute criminal impersonation of emergency personnel
