LEAs and public charter schools may use up to 4 days of the required 180 instructional days for hybrid learning during dangerous weather, extreme weather, or emergencies as determined by the director of schools

Kindergarten students must receive at least 4 hours of instruction per hybrid learning day; grades 1-12 must receive at least 6.5 hours of instruction

Schools must implement attendance tracking policies requiring daily visual, verbal, or written confirmation of student participation, and must address excused vs. unexcused absences during remote instruction

Schools that exhaust the 4-day limit may request commissioner approval for additional hybrid learning days in cases of natural disasters or serious illness outbreaks affecting students or staff

IEP services must remain available to students on hybrid learning days; effective July 1, 2025
