Authorizes the Tennessee Attorney General, with written approval from the governor and comptroller, to release pending or future claims against 16 named pharmaceutical companies and their affiliates related to opioid manufacture, marketing, distribution, dispensing, or sale

Named companies include McKesson, Cardinal Health, AmerisourceBergen, Johnson & Johnson, CVS Health, Teva, Walgreens, Walmart, Kroger, Purdue Pharma, and others involved in opioid settlement agreements or bankruptcy plans

Establishes distribution formula for opioid settlement proceeds: 35% to counties that join the settlement, 65% retained for statewide, regional, or local opioid abatement and remediation purposes

Proceeds deposited in the opioid abatement fund are to be disbursed by the council pursuant to existing statutory provisions (§ 33-11-105)

Took effect upon becoming law (passed April 16, 2025; approved May 2025)
