Amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 40-26-105, to expand the writ of error coram nobis procedure for convicted defendants seeking post-conviction relief

Extends coram nobis relief to defendants who entered guilty, best interest, or no contest pleas, not just those convicted following trial

Requires joint presentation by the district attorney general and convicted defendant to initiate coram nobis proceedings for plea cases, with court order to commence the writ

Allows newly discovered evidence unknown to the defendant at the time of plea to serve as grounds for relief if the judge determines it may have resulted in a different judgment

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law; passed April 10, 2025 and approved April 24, 2025
